As this mandate is gaining traction all over India, many states have seen immediate implementation of the same. And now, as more and more Indian states plan to incorporate this directive, here is a look at the AIS-140 notification timeline.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>28th November, 2016<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The very first time AIS 140 norms were introduced as the Rule 125H of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. The introduction added the need of an emergency button in all vehicles which came under this guideline.
