The decision came through on Monday, after a cabinet meeting of the Delhi government, chaired by the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em><u>Truck drivers in India are asking for your help. Please donate now: <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/2RweeKH\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #1eacb2;\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/2RweeKH<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As per a statement by the governement, &#8220;The Cabinet today approved to extend the scheme to every permit holder of para-transit vehicle in Delhi as well as owners of e-rickshaws registered in Delhi.&#8221;. Para-transit vehicles include autos, taxis, Gramin Sewa, Eco Sewa and Phatphat Sewa vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The extension of this scheme will be beneficial for more than 60,000 permit holders of para-transit vehicles, along with e-rickshaw owners that are registered in Delhi.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the same, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, &#8220;We are giving Rs 5,000 to the PSV (public service vehicle) badge holding drivers in Delhi during the lockdown. We got information that thousands of e-rickshaw drivers do not have PSV badges. The cabinet decided today to provide Rs 5,000 assistance amount to all such e-rickshaw owners.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The terms of the existing scheme dictate that every para-transit vehicle driver, that has a PSV badge, will be eligible to get one-time monetary aid of Rs. 5,000.
