What operating systems are compatible with the LocoNav app?
The LocoNav app is compatible with Android as well as iOS. So you can use the app seamlessly on both of these operating systems.
Is my information on the platform secure?
Yes, your information on the LocoNav platform is entirely secure. There are 3 levels of security layers that we follow:
- User Authentication: Data can only be viewed by the users after logging in to the application.
- Resource based authorization: This is the second layer of protection offered by the platform. A user can only access information to which he/she is authorized. This ensures that a logged in user can never view or modify the information which belongs to other users of the system.
- User login activity tracking: We store information like “last signed in time”, “IP address of user when they sign in” etc.
What is Geofence?
Geofencing is creation of a virtual perimeter that is set around a particular geographical area. The boundary is set such that as and when the vehicle, or a personnel, enters or exits the location, instant alerts are triggered. This will enable the user to discern the exact location the device is at, along with an accurate log of movements made.
A geofence is curated with the help of GPS, which provides precise location coordinates. In order to set the “fence” around a particular region, you can specify the distance and the diameter as per your business needs.
What are the charges for LocoNav’s tracking system?
The charges for our vehicle tracking system are calculated on an annual basis. For more information regarding the price, please get in touch with our team.
Do LocoNav’s vehicle tracking devices come with a warranty?
Yes, LocoNav’s vehicle tracking devices come with a 1 year warranty.
Can the tracking device be installed in any vehicle?
The tracking devices can be installed in all kinds of vehicles, be it cars, bikes, buses or trucks.
Are AIS-140 certified devices available?
Yes, LocoNav provides AIS-140 certified devices with CDAC approval. You can obtain the fastest RTO approval, and can get Fitness/Vahan certificate, BSNL certificate and Form 17, as per state norms with LocoNav.
Can I immobilise/re-mobilise my vehicle?
Yes, provided you have a device that has the feature and if the immobiliser has been installed in the vehicle.
What vehicle details are made available to me on LocoNav’s platform?
LocoNav gives you full visibility over your vehicle, and you can have access to a multitude of vehicular details in the form of analytics from virtually anywhere. You can get to know of details such as:
- Current Location (Live Track)
- Distance travelled by each vehicle
- Travel time of each vehicle
- Stoppages made by each vehicle
- Notifications and alerts for stoppages, Geofence, ignition, over speeding and SOS
- Movement report of each vehicle
- Vehicle related documents (Document library)

What reports are provided about my vehicle?
The LocoNav platform provides you with vehicle related reports that can help you track and manage the way your vehicles are performing. The list of the reports provided include:

What languages are supported by the LocoNav app?
The LocoNav app comes with language compatibility with 8 different languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati and Marathi.
What are the types of tracking devices provided by LocoNav?
We provide all compatible types of devices: OBD and wired.
How will a vehicle tracking system be installed?
We need three points for installation: ignition, power and ground. The ground wire is connected to the metal body of the vehicle. Power and ignition is taken from coupler without cutting the wires. In case of vehicles where OBD port is available, we use OBD extension to install the device.
What is the installation time taken?
In case of a wired device, it takes less than 20 minutes for installation. For OBD devices, the installation process is less than a minute, since it is simply a plug and play device.
How can I know about the device delivery time?
The device delivery is made In two-four working days, after payment process is complete. The delivery times depend upon your geographical location. Our representative will be constantly in touch with you, so as to ensure a smooth delivery experience.
Does LocoNav’s GPS tracking device come with a battery?
Yes, our GPS tracking device comes with a battery. The battery provides power back up for up to 8 hours. And in the event the wire/power supply of the device is cut, the battery back up automatically comes into function.
