Why Do You Need to Find Vehicle Owner Details Online?

Have you ever been asked by the traffic police to pay the fine for not carrying your vehicle’s documents? Well, the new guidelines by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways have permitted vehicle owners to ignore carrying hard copies of the documents if they have the digital copies stored in the DigiLockers. Thus, if you are not carrying your documents while driving your vehicle but have your details saved in DigiLockers, it will be considered legitimate. However, there may be a situation where the traffic police still want to verify your details with Vahan. This is one of the cases where someone needs to find vehicle details online.

Also, NOC was earlier a key document required when you are transferring your vehicle from one state to another. However, with Vahan in use, you no longer need to carry a NOC for the motor vehicle now as all the data has been centralised at one place that can be accessed by the RTOs across the country.
