Kerala Road Tax Payment Process

The payment of the road tax imposed by the Kerala State Government can be paid online. All types of vehicles must pay their road tax compulsorily to run their vehicles on the road. In the absence of payment of road tax, vehicle owners are charged with hefty penalties. For paying the road tax in Kerala, you must visit your nearest Regional Transport Office of the state. For the payment in online mode, one must visit the Vahan portal and follow the following steps :

Step 1: Open the Parivahan Sewa Website

Step 2: Under the ‘Online Services’ tab, select Vehicle-Related Services

Step 3: Select Kerala as your state and proceed further

Step 4: Click on the “Pay your tax” tab

Step 5: Enter registration number, mobile number and generate OTP

Step 6: Enter the OTP and click on the “Show Details” tab

Step 7: Verify your details and select the tax mode

Step 8: You will see the total payment amount as per the tax mode selected by you. Click on Confirm Payment

Step 9: Select your preferred payment gateway and submit the payment online

Step 10: Download the receipt for future reference
