Any motor vehicle driven on the country’s roadways must be registered, according to the Motor Vehicle Act of 1988. The car’s owner can achieve this by getting a registration certificate for the vehicle. How to fill RTO Form 25?
Fill in the following details in Part 1:
- Address of your Registering Authority
- Your full name in the declaration
- Registration number
- Date of RC issue and expiry
- Your current address
In Part 2, you need to fill in details about your vehicle
- Class of vehicle
- Type of vehicle body
- Maker’s name
- Month and Year of Manufacture
- Number of cylinders
- Horse Power
- Chassis Number
- Engine Number
- Seating Capacity
- Unladen Weight
- Fuel Usage
- Attach your insurance certificate along with Form 25 and the payment receipt of the renewal,
- Date the form and sign or affix your thumb impression in the indicated space.
- In case of hire-purchase, lease, or hypothecation, fill in the next section along with the signature or thumb impression of the original owner.
- Finally, both the Financer and the Registered Owner sign Form 7 in the final section. The Financer receives this acknowledgment from the Registering Authority via registered mail.
Documents needed with Form 25
For the owner to renew the vehicle’s registration certificate, he or she must submit specific documents along with Form 25. They are as follows:
- Form 25 (duly filled)
- A certificate stating that the vehicle’s pollutant emissions are under control.
- The RC book, to be precise.
- The vehicle’s original registration certificate.
- A document that serves as proof of the car owner’s payment of the road tax.
- The vehicle’s insurance certificate.
- A copy of the vehicle owner’s PAN card or, if appropriate, Form 60 or Form 61.
- The car registration certificate’s engine pencil and chassis print must be renewed.
- A document that proves the owner’s signature and identity.
