What is mParivahan App?

The mParivahan app was launched as part of the Digital India Program by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. This program provides online services or facilities for offices that deal with road transportation.

With the advent of the mParivahan mobile app, more than 1300 RTO offices have been computerized under one application. This digitalization of road transport offices has aided customers in receiving high-quality services and facilities. It is a NIC-developed government application.

It’s useful for looking up information on your vehicles, such as the validity of your insurance, registration certificate, and driver’s license. It also stores a digital DL and RC for easier access which also serves as proof to the police. This app is compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones. So, the next time you’re requested to present your vehicle information, all you have to do is open your phone and enter it.

What is mParivahan App Download Process?

1. On your smartphone, go to the Play Store or the App Store.
2. Click on the mParivahan app option after typing mParivahan.
3. Select the Install option.

How to Signup for mParivahan App?

Signing up on the mParivahan App is easy using the following steps:

1. Sign up using your phone number.
2. You’ll now receive an OTP, which you must enter and register.
3. You’ll have two options at this point: a Driver’s License (DL) or a Registration Certificate (RC). Pick DL first.
4. Now enter your driver’s license number to create a virtual driver’s license.
5. Next, select Add To My Dashboard.
6. When you provide your date of birth, your virtual driver’s license will be uploaded to the Dashboard.
7. After that, enter the Registration number and repeat the process to generate the RC.
8. You’ll now receive car information such as your fitness expiration date, insurance expiration date, and so on.
9. Now tap Add To My Dashboard one more.
10. After that, you’ll receive a message asking for your vehicle’s engine and chassis numbers.

How to Login into mParivahan App?

Once you download and sign up on the mParivahan app, you can log in using the following steps:

1. To begin, go to the upper left corner of the mParivahan App and create an account.
2. Then press Sign in, which will open a new window.
3. After entering your phone number, the user will receive an OTP (One Time Password). 
4. After entering your phone number, the user will receive an OTP (One Time Password).  
5. Your account will be created once you click on sign up.

How to Check Driving license in mParivahan App using DOB?

It’s possible that users won’t always be able to access their driver’s licenses physically. It’s possible they’ve misplaced it, it’s broken, or the number isn’t accessible. In this situation, individuals can use their date of birth to look up information about their driver’s license.

The following is the procedure for checking a driver’s license with the date of birth:-

1. To use this app, go to the left top menu bar and click on it.
2. Choose the “find driver’s license by DOB” option.
3. Click on search after entering your date of birth and driver’s license number.
4. The number of digits on a driver’s license can range from ten to eighteen.
5. This will look up a citizen’s driver’s license.

How to Check Challan in mParivahan?

Using Registration Certificate (RC) Number:

1. Open mParivahan App on your mobile phone.
2. Select “Search Challan” option.
3. Select “By RC Number” option.
4. Enter RC Details.
5. All related challans will be displayed.

Using Driving license (DL) Number:

1. Open mParivahan App on your mobile phone.
2. Select “Search Challan” option.
3. Select “By DL Number” option.
4. Enter DL Number.
5. All related challans will be displayed.

How to Avail Registration Certificate Related Services in mParivahan App?

Temporary Registration Certificate:

1. For temporary registration of a motor vehicle in Form 20 to the Registering Authority in whose jurisdiction the vehicle is registered.
2. Provide the following documents: sale certificate, insurance certificate, and road worthiness certificate.
3. Pay tax and fee as specified for temporary registration.

Permanent Registration Certificate:

1. For temporary registration of a motor vehicle in Form 20 to the Registering Authority in whose jurisdiction the vehicle is registered.
2. If temporary registration is done, then apply for permanent registration before temporary registration expires.
3. Confirm if Hypothecation is done or not.
4. Confirm Vehicle Registration Number.
5. Confirm usage requirement of HSRP/smart card.
6. Pay appropriate fee and tax, as applicable.

Renewal of Registration Certificate:

1. For temporary registration of a motor vehicle in Form 20 to the Registering Authority in whose jurisdiction the vehicle is registered.
2. You may apply for renewal of RC not more than 60 days before expiration date.
3. Pay any taxes on the vehicle, if due.
4. Pay applicable fee.

Duplicate RC:

1. Intimate your registering authority in writing in case of loss or damage to the original RC.
2. Apply for duplicate RC to last authority of registration via Form 26.
3. Pay applicable fee.

How to Avail Road Tax Services through mParivahan App?

Road Tax Payment using mParivahan:

1. There is a road tax payment option on the menu bar.
2. When you click on this application, the above-mentioned option will appear.
3. Select “Pay Tax” from the drop-down menu.
4. This will prompt you to enter your vehicle’s registration number and pay your road tax.
5. After you’ve entered your vehicle’s number, click the search button.
6. This will display any taxes due on this car.
7. The tax can be paid online by the applicant.

Check Pending Road Tax:

1. There is a road tax payment option on the menu bar.
2. When you click on this application, the above-mentioned option will appear.
3. Select “Pay Tax” from the drop-down menu.
4. This will prompt you to enter your vehicle’s registration number and pay your road tax.
5. After you’ve entered your vehicle’s number, click the search button.
6. This will display any taxes pending on this car.

Print Road Tax Receipt:

1. Applicants can reprint the tax paid receipt if they want to take a printout or if they have misplaced it.
2. To do so, select the option to reproduce the receipt.
3. To receive a receipt, provide the vehicle number.

How to Attempt a DL Mock Test using mParivahan App?

The DL mock test consists of ten questions. Candidates have 30 seconds to answer each question. The overall grade is given. These are questions from a practise mock test that must be completed while applying for a driver’s license. When seeking for a driver’s license, an applicant must pass the DL test. Practicing this test here will assist them in obtaining their driver’s license.

How to Find Nearest Pollution Checking Center in mParivahan App?

As we all know, it is critical to inspect pollutant exhaust for every vehicle. For this, the applicant must have their vehicle inspected at a pollution control facility. Use this option to find the nearest pollution check station. It will track your location using your global positioning system. It will show you the nearest pollution check station based on your location.
