RTO Form 27: Application for Assignment of New Registration Mark to a Motor Vehicle

How to fill RTO Form 27?

RTO Form 27 is divided into three sections: the first contains your personal information, the second contains approval from the financier, and the third is concerned with an official endorsement. A step-by-step procedure for completing Form 27 is provided below.

• Mention the address of the RTO where you want to re-register your vehicle in the upper left-hand corner of RTO Form 27.
• Fill in the next blank with your name and scratch out the word ‘we’ from the salutation. If the vehicle has joint owners, remove the ‘I’ and insert the names of both owners. Following that, write your father’s name. Married women can include the names of their husbands in this section as well.
• In the following blank spaces, enter the vehicle and chassis numbers. If you own a battery-powered vehicle, you can additionally include the engine or motor number.
• Now, write the vehicle type and the state where you first registered the four-wheeler.
• Following that, car owners provide the date and month when they moved the vehicle to the new state. They also input the original registration’s validity and indicate that the authority did not suspend or cancel the document in the previous state.
• Indicate if your vehicle is on a Hire-purchase, Lease, or Hypothecation agreement in the following blank space. If your car is covered by such a contract, state whether your financier has given or denied NOC for re-registration.
• Attach your signature or thumb impression, as well as the date you submitted the form.
• The next section of Form 27 comprises the Financier’s approval to the issuance or refusal of the NOC.
