What is the Meaning & Full Form of NOC?
A NOC stands for No Objection Certificate which is a key document issued by the RTO for the re-registration of a vehicle to another state. This document basically certifies that there are no legal liabilities on the motor vehicle and it can be sold to another buyer. Even if you are relocating to some other state permanently, you need to re-register your vehicle for which a NOC is required from the former RTO. This legal certificate serves as a report to the RTO of the new state that no challans, tax dues or FIRs are pending against the vehicle owner and the former RTO has given the permission to re-register or transfer the ownership of vehicle.

- Visit the RTO and get a form 28 from the concerned authority
- Fill out RTO form 28 by mentioning the necessary details
- Submit Form 28 along with the rest of the applicable documents to the RTO.

- Once the application form and documents are submitted, RTO gets a vehicle report from the local police to confirm that the vehicle is not involved with some crime

How to Check Vehicle NOC Status?
To check your vehicle NOC status, open the website, https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/. Next, click on “Vehicle Registration Related Services” tab on the home page. Choose your state on the next page. You will be redirected to the new page, click on “Status” tab on the homepage. Click on “Know your Application Status” from the drop down menu. Proceed further and enter your application number. Click on the “Submit” tab after which you will be able to check the status of your application.

RTO Form 28: 3 Parts You Should Focus in NOC Letter Format

PART I – APPLICATION
