The campaign will be a 37-point vehicle check-up that will be provided free of cost. The drive has been active since May 26, and will continue up to June 10. The company said that their customers with trucks or buses are welcome to the drive. Buses will receive a full sanitation clean up on the interior, meanwhile the cabins of trucks will be sanitised.
As per the company, they are hoping to extend the campaign to other parts of the country, most likely between June 1 and June 16. In a statement, Rajaram Krishnamurthy, Vice President – Sales & Marketing and Customer Service, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said, “BharatBenz has always been at the forefront when it comes to supporting customers, especially in times when they require it the most. We were one of the first to extend the service and warranty repairs period during this crisis and now we support them with free vehicle checks and sanitisation. We will also provide training for drivers to help them safeguard themselves against infection.”
The company also has started a training program for drivers to educate them about hygiene and health protocols in place to combat the COVID-19 spread. Along with that, the staff and sales teams are being given online training as well.
