The company released its decision to extend the warranty period to help its customers during the nationwide lockdown who had vehicles with warranties expiring between March 1 and May 3.
In a statement regarding the extension, Diego Graffi, MD & CEO, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, said, “In these unprecedented times we understand that the country is going through difficult times. We stand committed to our customers because even during the lockdown, some of them are transporting essential commodities in order to support the community.”
“To support them in turn, we decided to extend both free services and warranty by two months.”, he added.
Piaggio Vehicles is not the only company that has extended the duration of the free service and warranty, as several other automakers across segments have announced similar measures to help the customers.
Along with that, Piaggio also announced that the company will run sanitation drives for the vehicles of all its customers belonging to the brand within 15 days after the lockdown gets lifted. The customers can avail this service free of charge at all the authorised workshops of Piaggio Vehicles in India.
