Delhi Police Traffic has launched an e-challan system through which the violators can pay the challan online and they need to stand in a long queue anymore. The Delhi Police traffic e-challan system works on an Android-based operating system and has a fully integrated software. Thus, users can use the e-challan facility conveniently to check the e-challan status as well as to pay the pending challans using the e-payment gateway. Delhi Police has designed the e-challan system to improve road management and to ensure better safety standards on public roads.

The devices used by the Delhi Police Traffic under the e-challan system are of industrial grade and are compliant with 4G network as well as dual SIM facility. These handheld devices also have a fingerprint sensor for biometric and support digital payment too. GPS are enabled in these devices to track locations of violators. Moreover, the Delhi Police have also connected the camera violation app to the e-challan system. The complete data regarding the vehicle and driver owner is sent to the National Informatics Centre on a real-time basis. Under the e-challan system, the challan notice is sent through SMS to the violator. The SMS has complete details about the challan as well as the link through which the fine can be paid online.

How to Make Delhi Traffic Police e-Challan Payment Online: A Step-by-Step Process

From parking your vehicle in an unapproved place to jumping the red light and crossing the maximum speed limit to not carrying DL, PUC Certificate and RC, all of them are traffic rules violations for which a person is liable to pay a fine. If found guilty, a person will receive an e-challan either on their mobile phone through SMS or at their registered address. It is always a good idea to pay the fine as soon as possible to avoid any legal actions.

Here are the steps you can follow if you wish to make e-challan payment online:

Step 1: Visit https://delhitrafficpolice.nic.in/

Step 2: Click on “Notice” tab present on the homepage

Step 3: Select “Pending Notices” from the drop-down menu

Step 4: A new page will open, enter either vehicle number or notice number

Step 5: Click on “Search Details”

Step 6: A detailed information will be displayed about the pending challan, if any

Step 7: Click on “Pay Now”

Step 8: Select the Payment method to make the payment

Step 9: After the successful submission of fine, an SMS regarding the same is sent to the registered mobile number

Step 1: Visit https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/index/accused-challan

Step 2: Enter your challan number, vehicle number, or DL number on the page

Step 3: Add the Captcha code and click on the ‘Get Detail’ tab

Step 4: A new page will open where you can get every detail about the e-challan

Step 5: Click on ‘Pay Now’ under the Payment column and proceed further

Step 6: Choose the mode of payment from the given options. You can pay through net banking, credit card, or debit card

Step 7: Once the payment is received, a confirmation message will be sent to the registered mobile number

How to Pay Your Traffic Challan through Delhi e-Challan App Tatpar

Delhi Traffic Police has launched the “Tatpar” app to make it easier for the public to pay their traffic fine. Through this app, users can make payment of their e-challan from their mobile. Besides this, there are many other online services available in this app. Tatpar app can be downloaded from Google play store for android users and from App Store for iOS users.

Following are the steps to pay traffic challan through Tatpar App:

Step 1: Download the Tatpar app in your mobile

Step 2: Verify your mobile number through the OTP method

Step 3: After completing the mobile verification, open the homepage of the app

Step 4: Click on ‘Traffic Notice Payment’ option

Step 5: A new page will open, select ‘E-Challan’

Step 6: Enter either ‘vehicle number’ or ‘notice number’.

Step 7: If there are pending challans, select the mode of payment to pay fine

How to Check Traffic e-Challan Status Online in Delhi

In case you have misplaced the e-challan sent to you or deleted the challan SMS received from RTO, you can still get every detail about the traffic challan online.

Here are the steps by which you can check the traffic fine and e-challan status online:

Step 1: Visit https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/

Step 2: Click on the ‘Check Challan Status’ tab on the homepage

Step 3: A new page will open where you need to enter either your DL number or vehicle number

Step 4: In case, there’s no fine and e-challan against you, a Challan Not Found’ dialogue box will open

Step 5: If there’s a pending fine or e-challan against your name, then a page will open that will show you all the details about the challan

Traffic Rule Violations & Penalties List for Delhi
