CEAT Tyres Ltd. has announced its initiative of sanitising trucks that are involved in the delivery of essential items across Mumbai. The company has initiated the sanitation drive for trucks to combat the spread of Coronavirus among truck drivers and helpers on duty.

The company has started this initiative in collaboration with RPG Foundation, AITWA, Bombay Goods & Transport Association (BGTA) and the Western Union LPG Association. The initiative has been curated to sanitise truck cabins and to provide truck drivers and helpers with face masks, hand sanitizers and food packets. As per the company, so far the drive has been able to successfully sanitise more than 800 trucks. The vision of this initiative is to sanitize 1,000 trucks by the end of April 19.
All trucks that are plying across Mumbai to deliver essential items will be sanitised in this drive, including places such as Jawaharlal Nehru Port or Nhava Sheva, Mahul, Jasai and regions around the airport, which are the key places for loading and unloading of essential goods in the city.
