The initiative has been curated to sanitise truck cabins and to provide truck drivers and helpers with face masks, hand sanitizers and food packets. As per the company, so far the drive has been able to successfully sanitise more than 800 trucks. The vision of this initiative is to sanitize 1,000 trucks by the end of April 19.

All trucks that are plying across Mumbai to deliver essential items will be sanitised in this drive, including places such as Jawaharlal Nehru Port or Nhava Sheva, Mahul, Jasai and regions around the airport, which are the key places for loading and unloading of essential goods in the city.

In a statement, Arnab Banerjee, COO, CEAT Tyres Ltd., said, CEAT Tyres along with RPG Foundation and other relevant authorities has undertaken various tasks with a commitment towards helping the society in every possible manner to fight this pandemic.
