To help the state of Andhra Pradesh fight the COVID-19 pandemic, Force Motors has provided the state government with 1000 ambulances, including 130 advanced ambulances and 282 basic life support ambulances, along with 656 mobile medical units, which are equipped with coronavirus screening facilities. Commenting on the current crisis and shortfall in the Indian healthcare system, Prasan Firodia, MD, Force Motors, said, “The local administrations and state governments are responding quickly by upgrading their public health delivery systems.”
He further added that to combat the current inadequacies in the healthcare sector, the state governments are trying to put up a stronger workforce and plans, a part of which is keeping a mix of different types of ambulances which will be used as per the situation.
The ambulances being supplied by Force Motors comply with the recently introduced National Ambulance Code. They have a variety of types of ambulances, including the Type B ambulance, used for patient transportation without emergency services required, the Type C ambulance, which is a basic life support ambulance for patients who may need non-invasive airway management and the Type D ambulance, which is an advanced life support ambulance for critical patients.
